Marvilla Parks Kaatsheuvel is a holiday park in North Brabant, the Netherlands, located directly next to the Loonse and Drunense Duinen National Park. In this natural hospitality environment, outdoor lighting contributes to safety, orientation and a welcoming guest experience after dark.
Throughout the park, the GIRO wooden light mast was applied. The GIRO is made from chestnut wood, giving it a robust yet natural appearance that fits well within the green surroundings of the campsite. Because the GIRO is supplied without a fixed luminaire, the project had the freedom to choose an armature that matched the desired lighting effect and visual identity of the park.
As the chestnut wood naturally greys over time, the masts become even more integrated into the landscape. This makes the GIRO a sustainable and visually calm lighting solution for hospitality environments where nature, comfort and atmosphere come together.
