Den Eikenboom in Loenen has been a meeting place since 1803. At the time, it was an inn at a junction of trade routes. In recent years it has been completely restored. In late 2024, Den Eikenboom reopened its doors for the next 200 years of hospitality.
Today, Den Eikenboom is a place where everyone is welcome for lunch, drinks, dinner, celebrations, meetings and overnight stays in the village of Loenen on the Veluwe. The exterior lighting had to match the Veluwe farmyard and blend in with the landscape.
Together with lighting designers from Haskoning, we chose custom BOSCOs, GIROs and charging poles, all executed in robinia wood. This robust roundwood retains the original structure of the tree, giving the lighting an extra natural look and fitting in perfectly with the surroundings. Representative of Den Eikenboom, Saskia Janssen, says “We are very happy with the BOSCOs, they fit beautifully into the landscape and complete our outdoor space!
The fixtures were installed by installation company Leertouwer.
